Man in the Middle: Tranmere Rovers (H)

Published by Chris Head on February 8, 2010

Gillingham return to Priestfield on Tuesday, on the back of Saturday’s trouncing at the hands of Brentford. They currently sit one place above the relegation zone by virtue of goal difference.

The opponents, Tranmere Rovers, are also at the wrong end of the league table so it’s a significant game for both clubs.

Wiltshire based referee Roger East has been appointed to the game. He is in his third season as a league referee following an impressive career as an assistant referee. During his career as an assistant he was in the Select Group for four seasons and the FIFA list for two. He also officiated an FA Cup Final and the Community Shield.

Tuesday will be his third appointment with the Gills, all have been at Priestfield.
