Stimson spoilt for choice ahead of Bees clash
Published by Simon Head on February 4, 2010
Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has the rare luxury of a near-full squad to choose from ahead of his side’s League One match at Brentford on Saturday.
“It’s great,” said Stimson.
“Last weekend and this weekend is the first time I’ve had so many players. There’s some players that were left out who have been playing week-in, week-out this season. But that shows what we’ve added to the squad.
“We’ve added people who, at this moment in time, are doing better and it’s up to those who have been left out to play like they did in the reserves so if anyone is a losing a bit of concentration or a little bit of form, they’re ready to step in to their place.”
Check out the video, where Stimson talks about the strength of his squad, his expectations for the match at Griffin Park and his assessment of new signing James Walker.
Gillingham take on Brentford at Griffin Park this Saturday at 3:00pm. If you can’t make the match, don’t forget to check out Gills365′s Matchday Chat, via the Gills365 Forums.
