One out, two in?

The transfer merry-go-round has yet to really pick up in Kent, with no transfer activity taking place at Gillingham so far in January.
But the return of wantaway midfielder Adam Miller – after Dagenham reportedly couldn’t match his wage requirements – may prove to be the spark that sees Mark Stimson add some new faces to the Gills squad.
According to the Gills manager, Miller is currently looking to negotiate his release from the club, while Stimson himself is looking to bring two new players in, while cementing the future of another.
Talking to the BBC, Stimson explained, “He’s not in the starting plans but he might get on the bench.
“If we can pay him off it might free up some money to get someone else in.”
“He (Miller) could go out on loan, and his agents are in negotiation with the chairman about a pay-off, but we will wait and see. He’s only got until the end of the season.”
And in an interview with the GFC official website, Stimson revealed the club are in discussions with two potential new signings – a centre half and a striker.
The striker is almost certainly Colchester United frontman Scott Vernon, while the identity of the centre half is currently unknown.
Stimson also stated his desire to keep Manchester United striker Febian Brandy at the club and hinted at the possibility of securing the pint-sized striker on a permanent deal.
“His deal is up this Saturday and we’re trying to talk to Manchester United about retaining him for another period,” he told the official website.
“Hopefully in the next 48 hours we’ll hear something and fingers crossed we’ll be able to. He could come permanently if they were willing to let him go, or if there was a fee involved and we could afford it.
“We’ll ask about the loan situation first and try to get him until the end of the season. He is a fantastic talent.”
We’ll report the news of any arrivals or departures as soon as we get it.
