Come and support Gillingham Ladies!

Published by Simon Head on October 8, 2009

spurslineupThis weekend is a special one for Gillingham Ladies FC. Their brilliant start to the season has attracted the attention of the local media, with Meridian TV sending a film crew down to Martin Grove for this weekend’s match against Northampton Town.

We’re looking to get a bumper crowd into the stadium for the match, which kicks off at 2:00pm on Sunday, so why not come down and see the team in action?

Martin Grove is located behind Lordswood Leisure Centre, on North Dane Way, and admission is just £2.50 for adults, with Gills Season Ticket Holders admitted free of charge upon display of their ticket.

The match promises to be a competitive encounter, as Northampton defeated the only side to beat the Gills so far this season, Lewes earlier in the campaign.

But Gillingham, led by manager Ian Varley and Director of Football Martin Andrews, will be looking for another win to cement their place at the top of the league table.

Food and drink is available throughout the day – and fans wanting some alcoholic refreshment following the match are welcome to pop into the Lordswood Sports and Social Club next door to the ground for a post-match pint.

Ask anyone who’s seen the side already this season and they’ll tell you that they’re a great attacking team, who play entertaining football at a great venue. It’s a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

So, don your Gills colours, bring your friends and family and join us at Martin Grove on Sunday!
