Man in the Middle: Grimsby Town

Published by Chris Head on March 20, 2009

The Gills head North, to Blundell Park, as they aim to maintain their current run of good form.

The experienced Nigel Miller is the referee for Saturday’s game against League Two strugglers, Grimsby Town. He is in his sixth season as League Referee having previously been a National and Select Group Assistant Referee.

As an Assistant Referee he officiated in some high profile matches, including an FA Cup Final, FA Charity Shield and a Championship Play-Off Final, all at the Millennium Stadium.

He has refereed the Gills on one previous occasion. That day, 23 April 2005, the Gills lost 2-0 to Derby County at Pride Park.
