Bitter Brown still harbours grudge

Former Gillingham player Brown remains bitter at his treatment by Gills boss Mark Stimson last season.
Brown, who was part of a group of players whose effort and commitment came under heavy criticism from many fans last season, claimed Stimson treated him like a “leper”.
And despite leaving Priestfield and linking up with Peter Jackson and Iffy Onuora at Lincoln City, it appears Brown hasn’t moved on mentally from his time in Kent and still harbours a grudge towards the Gillingham manager.
“Will I shake his hand? Probably not,” he told the Lincolnshire Echo.
“But I don’t expect him to offer one if I am totally honest.
“I’m sure that if you ask him he doesn’t want to speak to me, and I don’t want to speak to him either.
“That particular experience was the worst of my career, because being treated the way I was for so long was very hard to take. I’ve never seen anything like it in football.”
Brown, who now wears number three and plays at left back for the Red Imps, has made 13 league starts this season and will be looking to prove a point against the Gills tonight.
The match kicks off at 7.45pm.
